MEET YOUR TRAINERS

Annika

Master Trainer and Owner of The Mat Life

With an extensive background in human anatomy, studying functional musculoskeletal anatomy and neuroanatomy at a university level, Annika's health science background is combined with 18 years of dance training. Her interest in the human body and the benefits of Pilates on holistic health, encouraged her to pursue her dream of being a certified Pilates instructor full time.

Annika believes that coming back to your Pilates mat each day is a practice of self-love; which in this fast-paced world of technology, consumerism and social media is often neglected. Pilates enables you to move your body in a way that is safe and optimal for our anatomy. Additionally, living with an autoimmune disease that affects her joints (Rheumatoid Arthritis), Annika understands the necessity of being kind to your body but also nourishing it with exercise.
